I've got a 79 Jag 3000 that I'm fixing up. Latest problem is that it's leaking gas from the carb. It usually starts ok but then starts leaking gas after 5 to 10 seconds of running then continues steadily after that.

I'm NOT mechanically inclined but willing to try anything. I just recently replace the coil pack. Other than that it was previously running fine.

Here's a video I took:

Have you pulled the carb apart and cleaned it? This is not as hard as it sounds.

Take the float bowl off, remove all the jets and clean them with carb cleaner. Make sure you can see light through all of them. A small wire works great for all the small holes. Then, shoot carb cleaner through all the passages/holes to clean any crud out. Then shoot compressed air through all of them. Something is plugged up in there and shooting gas out of the breather hole.

Thanks for the help guys! I took the carb off and gave it a good cleaning and that seems to have done the trick! Now on to the brakes that don't work...
