I'm trying to figure out how to tension the tracks on the 2 used sleds I bought. I seem to remember the general rule of thumb (fingers?) was 3 finger width with 10 lbs pressure, but that was for my 121's. I think the actual spec per my AC manual was 1.5" with 10 lbs.

I have 136's on the sleds I bought, and the tracks were so tight (both sleds) that the track didn't slowly spin by itself with the track off the ground (idling). Both have less than an inch of deflection when pulling down on the track.

I loosened them both so that they spin freely... and used the old 3-finger rule. Does anybody have an actual manufacturer spec? One is an '04 Polaris RMK Trail (136) and the other is a '97 Ski-Poo Summit (136).

Thanks, ron

Thanks RJ. Couldn't slide a cockroach in there when I got them... I knew *that* was too tight!
