I have an opportunity to trade my 05 switchback for a 06 rmk 900. I haven't seen it in person as it is 2 hours away but it has 4000 miles on it without a problem according to the seller. It's a 159 with 2in lugs.

If the engine has made it this far in life, is it one of the (what seems like few based on the things I've read) 900s that didn't have problems?

I am slightly afraid of the 900s based on the stories I've heard about them, but, how many of the common problems on the 05s were fixed for 06?

You're trading a bad Polaris design (big block 800) for a worse Polaris design (900 big block). At least with the 800, you have a much better time finding new and used parts when things do go south. That's not always the case with the 05-06 900/700.

Good luck in your decision.

Yeah, I've done more research through the day and I'm gonna stay away from the 700 and 900 big blocks.
