I’ve got a 05 classic 600 with just over 2000 miles on it. I took it to the u p this last winter and I could run 60 mph but if I pegged the throttle it bogged down hard and did not accelerate. My initial thought was not getting fuel. The fuel filter looked perfect and I changed the plugs. The power exhaust valves were carboned up so I cleaned them up, spotless. Still does the same thing, can’t run over 6 grand or it loses power like crazy... so my only other thought is something broke in the clutches? Any ideas?

Welcome
Well now is the time to have a look?
Pull the cover off and see if the rollers are bad or a broken spring?
I use 3 longer bolts than the stock 6. allowing the spring top unload as you remove the cover.
Simply remove 3 of the 6 and get an inch longer and put back in, then remove the other 3 and the cover will come as far as the longer will let it.
Then loosen the longer ones a little at a time till no pressure.
