I bought a used '04 Mountain Cat 800 EFI about 4 months ago. I havn't had 1 problem until today. Doing powder turns, I got the muffler clogged. After a few cranks it shot out snow and started back up.

I don't know if its related, but right after that the motor started cutting out completely. It seems to be getting fuel so I think something is cutting the spark. I tried unplugging the kill switch with no luck. At this point it might start up after several cranks, but dies almost immediately.

Any other ideas? Thanks.

It may be possible that there is water in the carbs. buy some isopropel to put in the gas, clean the carbs.

It's EFI.

Someone mentioned it could be the CDI. What is this? Something related to the plugs getting spark?

it controls the ignition curve, getting sno in the exhaust will not wreck it. is there good spark?
