panterra clutch question

i have a 96 panterra 580 with a comet clutch the issue i have is one of the rollers is broken, do i need special tools to replace them ? the sled is 3 hrs away from me at my camp and was trying to get everything i need before i go on vacation next week

If it were me I would find either a good 9 tower or a newer 6 tower to replace that!
You will need a comet clutch puller!
And to replace the rollers you will Have to have the spider removed (not easy at all and even with heat and special tools it's a crap shoot)

OK thanks are all 9 Tower clutches the same or does it have to be from the same sled and if I find one would I have to do any thing other than change the mainspring

Any 9 tower with a 1:30 taper will work. You can probably use the weights (if the rollers didn't damage them) abut the Comet 6 post springs have a smaller inside diameter and won't work on the AC 9 post clutch.

But for the money you will be ahead by getting the new 6 ower with the 30mm taper (Not the 33mm).
I have found them at about $150-175?
