Good spark, clean carb, doesn't start
So my '86 Excel has been running great, idling a little high, but other than that no issues. One day it just doesn't start. Figured it was maybe flooded, let it sit for 12 hours, and it started right up, first pull. Great, drove it two more days, no issues, then one day it doesn't start again. Figured it was some crud in the carb, pulled the carb (have to say it was pretty sparkling clean) but gave it a good spray down just for good measure, everything looked good and clear, put it back together, still not starting up at all.
I know I'm getting a good spark because if I squirt some gas into the plug sockets it fires right up and burns off the gas in there before dying again. Definitely is an issue with fuel not getting where it needs to go. What's the next thing to try? Fuel pump? Or maybe an issue in the fuel line?
