I'm working on this 99 SRX600 that cooked the crank bad, blew out the case even. Anyway the owner found a SRX700 engine with only a couple hundred miles. The problem is that they changed the ignition between them. The stators are the same size but the outside of the flywheel is 1/2 inch smaller. I found a used flywheel for the 2002 and installed it with the old stator. At first it sparked great and ran perfect, but now I can't spin it over fast enough to spark. The only way to start it is to turn the kill switch off and have some one pull it up as I'm pulling it over. Once running it runs perfect. I'm looking for some insightful assistance on this matter without completly changing over the electronics. Thank you
