Working on the wife's sled and running into some problems. I rebuilt the sled last Spring and been have problems with it back firing and only reving out with the choke on half then off. Then it wants to bog. So I changed the plugs and seemed to run better took it out again and she bog off the beginning then go not bad. Brought it back into garage and took plugs out and checked spark onside sparked but other didn't want to. Both sparked before. Thought I could replace the wires but found out quickly they do not unscrew. DUH So now got to order a new one. I have cleaned carbs twice. Checked the plugs as thought maybe in wrong..Any help be great..

Usually if you have to flip the choke to get it to run right you have some kinda blockage in the carb. The plug wires on both my phazers unscrew. I really struggled getting one of them off and I cut the wire right below the boot and then I was able to get it to unscrew. I would clean the carbs real good first and see if that helps you out.

I cleaned the carbs 3 times with cleaner and compressed air. I meant the wires that go into the Coil. Seems run good with new plugs then runs like bag poop. Go to check the spark and one side is dead then comes back so guess is its sparking once in awhile to give me the backfire. Find out when new Coil comes in. Thanks for your reply.

That was my next suggestion, replace the coil. There should just be one orange wire going into the bottom of the coil. Did you remove the jets and all the little black plugs when you cleaned the carbs.

Yup removed caps jets and whatever else to clean everywhere

Make sure the black rubber plugs inside the float bowls are in the correct spots as the manuals are usually wrong.

Yup I rechecked those just to make sure with the air box breather side facing you the caps go left and centre..
