I would try putting in zeros for the other 8 digits previous to your actual vin

dont know why, but yamaha does not use a 17 digit vin on sleds, just the 9 digits.

after compiling a list of vin numbers for yamaha sleds from 1968 through 2011, the only change in about 43 years of yamaha was an additional digit when the 4 strokes came out. dont know if the factory ran out of combos for numbers or what, but one would believe that a state like new york would be up on vin codes.

show them the vin post on here?
