1986 yamaha phazer midrange mod?

I heard that you could drill out midrange on phazer carbs. but i dont know where or what size dill bit. could comeone tell me.

unaware of any drilling procedures, but the proper procedure is to change either the primary nozzle or the main nozzle, or both.

there may be a trade off in performance doing this, but if you ride mostly in the mid throttle range it may suit your needs.

the smaller main nozzle will allow more fuel to sit between the nozzle and the carb body and makes the carburetion richer when you snap the throttle.

the larger main nozzle allows for more fuel and air flow making the carb richer at mid to wide open throttle.

some of the optional nozzles have fewer bleed holes and some have larger holes each affecting the carb differently. you need to consider your needs to be sure you change to the correct nozzle combination.
