I have an 88 exciter lc 570 with some plastic skis that fell apart i am having some problems finding new or even used skis for it. the mounting tabs are 3.5" apart on the inside. Could i use some other skis for a different sled? i tried to make some phazer skis fit but the mounting tabs are 2.5" apart.

double check the 'shoe' portion at the bottom of the ski shock (strut). could be someone altered it for the plastic skis or it may have some spacers stuck to it.

that same 'shoe' portion of the strut was used on many models for many years and any tss ski should fit, including the phazer and vmax's up through 96, and even other yamaha models beyond that.

It does have some spacers stuck to it. so i can just pull those off and stick a phazer ski on it?

yep, or any other ski that fits the tss. sometimes the aftermarket skis came with a longer collar to support the spacers so you may be on the hunt for different collars. a collar is basically a steel tube that goes into the bottom of the shoe and the bolt securing the ski goes into it. probably have some laying around if thats the case.

i had a buddy over in ellensburg until lives and wives. havent talked to him in a few years. he worked at a welding supply outfit and then a concrete supplier last i knew.
