i just got a exciter 570 today and its beat bad going to be a restore project one question i have is about the oil injection where do the oil lines go theres no place on the carbs or on the engine for them i cant find anything on to where these go please help

its been awhile since i had one of these in front of me and maybe an example would be best if you had one available. perhaps someone in your area has one to compare to. you may even try looking at some of the parts breakdowns online like partspitstop or any others.

i recall an odd "t" fitting between the oil tank and the fuel pump and the oil being directly supplied with the fuel into the carbs, but dont hold me to that. i may have to research a bit further.

lol i wish someone had one of those around here i did find that both lines from the oil pump go into the fuel pump the sled was jerry rigged to high hell before i got it im just afraid of starting it and it siezing up.

i took a look at the microfiche. airbox, fuel tank, oil tank and oil pump breakdowns. appears as though the oil lines do tee into the fuel line prior to the fuel pump. why there are 2 oil lines into the fuel i dont know.

oil should flow from the tank to the oil pump and the oil pump to the fuel. if your pump is working and the system is bled of air, premix the fuel in the tank until your sure the system is working.

That would mean that if you run out of fuel you have a chance of loading the carbs up with oil lol. The old VRO systems on the OMC outboards would do the same thing on occasion.
