Yamaha Exciter Bogging/Clutch? Please Help

I have a 1988 yamaha exciter 570 and ran into a few problems. First the sled will not go into nuetral. The track will rotate when i start the sled snd i have to lift it up to start it because of that. After that it ran great for awile and then started bogging out. It acted as if the plugs were fowling. I would floor it and it had no power. i replace the plugs and the old ones were black black. I then started it back up and it worked and didnt have alot of power. It wont idle because of the track trying to move now. What could this problem be? Could the clutch be causing all of this.

Thank Kyle

you need to figure out whats going on with the clutching first. could be as simple as a sacked or broken primary spring or as complex as toasted wear components in the clutch(bushings, rollers, weights, etc).

tough to address any other running situations with a stuck clutch.

Drop new plugs in and see if it'll fire like it used to with the track up. If yes, then you have a carb related issue or the wrong plugs.

Like yamadad said, it pails in comparison to the stuck clutch. Gotta get that taken care of or you're going to wear that belt out trying to spin at idle all the time.
How's the belt seating in the secondary? Flush with clutch?
