My sled will start fine and run good until it warms up then it will back fire and stall. I replaced the plugs and am waiting for a coil any other suggestions?
almost sounds like your source coil is breaking down. does the cycle repeat itself once the sled cools a bit?
a resistance test may help, but most times when this problem occurs the coil will test good until it heats up. check for spark immediately when this happens.
replaced the coil and it will idle but will also backfire but now it wont die when it does I have found that the exhaust manifold is missing 2 bolts on the same side but the threads are striped just wondering if it could be the exh causing it to back fire
sled is now at a shop with someone my dad knows he did comp. test said both cyl are within spec and only 1 psi diff. pulled carb and cleaned it (didn't need to but did said the guy) waiting on gasket and shield for exh. I was reading another post from someone else and saw that you (yamadad4) were talking about tors and a black and black/yellow wires I saw that on my sled they are joined together before the carb just wondering if this could cause it not to run when it starts. It will start in 3 pulls but if you don't hold the throttle a little it will die.
