red light

hello I just bought a 700 2003 venture and have a red light that comes on some times didnt get a manual with it can someone tell me what light is for thanks

Comes on when you start it up and then goes out?
That would be a self check indicator.

if its coming on while riding could be your temp light.

3 flashes on startup then out is the self diagnosis function.

pay attention to the sequence as it may be showing you a code.
