1987 phazer fuel pump kit needed

where can i buy a fuel pump kit for my old phazer...

google doesnt seem to be much help and all the sites with oem parts do not have the fuel pump listed at all and all i need is a simple diaphram kit to rebuild it..

any numbers of places i might contact would be great help..

and i hope this is the problem. no fuel to the carbs but it runs if i put fuel directly into the carbs...

Identify what brand your fuel pump is. If it is Mikuni, it should be relatively popular, like the dual round pump.

Example kit: Mikuni Fuel Pump Repair Kit - Shade Tree Powersports

i would tear into the carbs and clean them. i wonder if the floats are stuck up blocking fuel from filling the bowls.

by the way, yamaha has the fuel pump listed on the "air cleaner" section. their part number may be 8V0-24410-02-00, if i recall correctly

pump is a round style mikuni. should be easy to find at any of the mail orders: dennis kirk, shadetree, etc.

i have a good used pump available if needed.
