2002 Yamaha SX Viper CLUTCHING
Hey, I have an 02 viper 700 triple with single pipe and can(stock), I want to do some clutching work to it for this season so im going to start now but ill need your guys help.
Im looking for pretty well what everyone else wants, a clutch that is quick off the line and good midrange and top end. All the riding i do is pretty well ditchbanging, so i would want a powerful bottom to midrange. i go trail riding as well, but not as much as i go ditchbanging.
I havent taken apart a clutch before but i do have a strong mechanical background, and would be up for the challenge,
So heres the question, How do i go about doing this? what weights, springs etc. would i need? would i have to modify both the primary and secondary clutch?
Thanks for all your help in advance i know from previous posts that this is a very helpful forum!
Part numbers or diagrams, or whatever would be greatly apprieciated for ordering.

running a multi angle helix in those really wakes them up. something around 53/43 along with a spring change in the secondary running the stock primary weights assuming your sled works well now.
next would be to consider a set of heel clickers. 40-10y's is what i have been playing with in both the srx and the viper. probably slightly different than your needs as i am tuning for elevation and long tracks.
go shopping for a multi angle from any of the aftermarkets like pioneer, hartman, wherever but some are cut more aggressively than others. find an oem green spring to run with it and you may be amazed.
if you opt for heelclickers, you will want a different helix anyway.
one thing to keep in mind is there is really 'no bolt and go' in my opinion. you will need to test and tune for conditions to find your happy spot.
