Exclamation 116" to 121" tunnel extension?

i am going to do the 121 swap. But now that am doing that do i need to extend my tunnel back far. if i do i was think about 15 inches would be good. so i can be a gas can on that back. And i was wondering if anyone would happen to have specs on how to make it.

It's Gona dig like a shovel when you go up a steep incline at first since there is no track back that far to compensate. Just bend up some aluminum to the width of your tunnel and toss a taper on it and cut it than mount your snow flap

i wouldnt extend it any further than needed. you will create a major weak spot unless its well supported.

i prefer to make my extensions fit inside the existing tunnel. you can make a pattern or take your sled to the fabricator. i usually underlap about 3"-3 1/2".

next you need to decide if you want the running boards to come back further, then theres the bumper issue. attaching the extension is another obstacle. you dont want to use cheap pop rivets as they will loosen over time. i am a big believer in aircraft style buck rivets.

there are several ways to achieve the end result. you need to be creative.

Remember that when you are moveing from a 116 to 121 you actually are only moveing the rear axel back 2 1/2"!
