Phazer II Oil pump
I blew up the engine in my 91 phazer last winter and it was cheaper to buy a used engine than fix the old one. the old engine had the oil pump removed and i had to pre-mix, however my newer engine still has the oil pump and everything connected and i would like to switch back to the oil injection system. i have no clue which hoses connect to where. if some one could tell me where to connect each hose that would be great!

depending on your time frame, i will be rebuilding a phazer sometimes in the next few weeks and will have a full visual on the routing of the necessary lines for the tank and pump.

lets start with knowing where your at. basically you have the tank with two lines exiting the bottom as well as two on the top.
next is the oil pump. should have two smaller lines feeding the intake manifold as well as one or two larger ones coming into the pump(not that far in on this sled yet, be there tomorrow).
assuming you have all the lines you need and sized correctly, i should be able to spell out the rest by the end of the week.

of those 2 nipples rearward on the tank, the rear most facing one leads to the steering hoop and serves as a level indicator for the oil. it will loop around and eventually land at the only nipple at the bottom rear of the tank.
the other nipple at the top rear of the tank serves as the breather. it routes again to the steering hoop, crosses under the bars and exits behind the secondary clutch, attaching to the steering hoop all the way.
that leaves us the two larger hoses on the front bottom of the tank. we will address those later.

Hello again sorry for the delay i ran into other things that kinda took a little higher priority. ok i under stand the level indicator and the breather line. there are the two large nipples on the tank and i have no clue where they go to. do they just get routed to the put then put on the two large nipples there. because if my memory serves me correctly i have 4 on the pump it self two large ones and two very fine ones. or do i need to get some t joints and adapters and do a little bit of tinkering?

the two large ones from the tank both go to the oil pump. which to where i would have to confirm.
yes, you have four nipples on the pump, two small and two larger. no tees or adaptors or tinkering needed. just the landing of the correct line from the tank to the pump. the smaller lines from the pump feed the nipples on the intake manifold.

down. manifolds should only fit one way, but orienting the nipples down is the correct way.
