2002 SX Viper Question

I just picked up a 2002 Viper 700 and it has been sitting for several years inside a garage...Anyway I can't seen to locate the battery...Not sure if it even has one in it....Where is it located??

Thanks
Dave

if the sled is blue and original, no battery. the red er version had electric start and reverse.

for those that may have installed electric start later, the battery box was typically attached to the chaincase cover, behind the silencer.

it it did have a stock battery it is located on the right hand side close to the brake discs or the exit to the exhaust, it should be very easy to see if you have one or not though. imo
