SRV - cracked carb to airbox boot

Both of these joints from my two sleds are split in the same place. One of them is still somewhat flexible, but the other is pretty hard. I see that the part is no longer available from Yamaha. Aside from trying to find a good used one, what are the preferred alternatives? RTV? Has anyone been able to find something else that will work for this?

Thanks.

new or better replacements will be your best bet. for temporary "band-aid" fixes, depending on the brittleness of the rubber, you can treat the cracks as you would a hole in an inner tube.

another temporary trick i have used is the butyl? tape wraps or the products sold to seal windows. a very flexible rubber type tape, about 6" wide, cut to fit wrapped tightly and wrinkle free around the boots. (this is an art in itself, temperature is your friend). have lots of scraps of your interested.

When you say, "new," what are you talking about? NOS? Is there some aftermarket option I'm not aware of?

referring to the aforementioned avenues such as ebay or the dennis kirk types. i recently ran across an outlet for "new old stock" parts but failed to save the link.

in this case, you will have to do some digging, they are out there, be it nos or aftermarket. dont forget that that same part was shared amongst a few models and may be available as old stock from some of the longer standing dealers.
