I am new to this forum so I am not sure if this subject has come up over time, but is it very hard to replace sliders on a 1999 Vmax 500? One of mine split yesterday.

Remove ths skid frame, then take the sliders off. Not hard, but time consuming. The hardest part is getting the skid frame back in again...
