yamaha ss 440

Quick question, 85 yamaha ss 440 runs great but my problem is warm or cold the choke has to be on in the first position to run and run good. When you stop you have to take the choke off for it to idle or it will die. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure that you run a fine wire through the pilot jet to clear it, they are very small and clog easily.
