I think I have made up my mind; 2001 SRX 700

Well...I think i have finally decided on what sled I will buy. After talking to soo many people and reading several posts from lots of you guys (which i really appreciate), I think I have decided on a 2001 Yamaha SRX Triple Triple.

Even some die hard Polaris fans buddies of mine have said these are probalby one of the most reliable sleds out there. I realize it won't ride as nice as a polaris over the rough stuff, but I can live with that. I'm looking for reliablility, and I think these triples are bulletproof, and apparently fast as hell.

The sled I'm buying is being sold from the original owner, have 10,000km's and never had a motor repair job. Brand new track last year with 144 studs. All stock. Comes with the Olhen front gas shocks, this thing is mint. It's a little more than I planned on spending, but I'm happy with the deal.

I'll post pics when I go pick it up, pretty much a done deal though.

Thanks again guy for all your help.

let it snow!!!!

Asking price was $3000, talked him down to $2500.

A little more than I wanted to spend, but this thing is mint, this guy has babied this thing....and thse sleds seem like they are tough to find at descent prices. There are quite a few for sale for $3500.

oh ya just seems like a lot for a sled with that many miles but it does depend where you live to

Yeah, I don't think you can compare canadian and american pricing. OUr prices are generally higher for just about anything.

I would search google for used sled, SRX's, and tons would come up from the Sates at around $2000. You would be extremely lucky to find one at that price up here, and if it did, it would prob have high miles and look like s**t.

This thing is mint!! I'm happy.....I've never wanted it snow so soon!! lol. Let's hope this year we get dumped on!!

One thing about these yamaha's that sucks is they don't have reverse.

Anyone have any experience installing a mechanical reverse kit? Is it worth it? Or do you need to change a bunch of other parts to make it fit?

its not that difficult to install reverse but will be a little pricey if you are buying the kit new. I would look around and see if you could find a used chaincase for sale that already has the reverse gearing in it you would also need the linkage and side plastic where the lever goes through.
