There was someone else on the forum earlier in the year discussing the same problem. It's not a recall, I guess what it is is that the heat exchangers get plugged with snow and overheat. But I don't blame you, I'd be mad too if that happened of if my snowmobile burned down.

How about when 4 of 'em burn down at the same time and it's not the manufacturer's fault?

the heat exchangers arent the problem for burning up tho the carbs leak from the boots is the problem that causes them to burn.

Yes I still would get a phazer...if yamaha would help. This is such a common problem it should deserve a recall and help from Yamaha.

exactly it wouldn't have even bothered me if yamaha would help because this stuff does happen but they are making no effort that is what disappoints me. If they would help the situation i would have been recommending getting one but after this i seriously wouldn't recommend one to anyone.

NEVER NEVER BUY new yamaha's i got a 01 raptor 660 the day they came out, one carb would blow off the boot on 90% of them and all tranny's would blow at some point of another, the only recall i ever got was that the rear brakes would fail at high speeds, never seen a recall for the tranny, when mine bluw yamaha sold a upgrade kit, all these problems where solved on the 02's

note: how many crossfires did A/C replace when they where burning (brands are a matter of prefrence but keep in mind of service, small buissness or big buissness is like night and day for service

Don't laugh to hard. I have a 2006 Polaris piece of s**t that the motor crapped out on at only 417 miles. I did some research and found out that it is a problem Polaris has known about for years and they won't do anything about it. I'll never buy another Polaris product of any kind.
