White Smoke In a 1991 Phazer II

I have a 1991 Yamaha Phazer 2, only dished out a couple of hundred bucks and looking back maybe i wouldnt have bought b/c the guy i bought it from was rude and hid a lot of stuff from me about the sled. But what done is done and i now need to know why it is smoking, it is a white smoke and isnt too noticable untill you rev up, then it just fogs ythe entire area, untill you let off the throttle, and it feels like it is almost cutting out on power but that may not be. Now i have not worked on any snowmobiles, just ATV's and outboards, as far as recreational use. Any ideas as to fix this problem, or check for issues, black usually mean rings, block, or cylinder damage; blue, oil of course, too rich, but white is puzzling, I've heard coolant but im not sure if this sled uses coolant or not, i do believe it is fan cooled. Any help would be great. What about antifreeze? Would there be any in a snowmobile thats causing it to smoke?
It isn't backfiring, starts in one pull, runs well, i thought i was noticing cut outs in power though when first started.

Welcome to the forum,

White could mean your running to rich.... are you letting it warm up for a long time? after about 15 mins take it for a nice rip around the house and then see if its still smoking alot at idle, if so probably oil leak, but it seems all old sleds smoke alot until warmed up real well(1/2 hour)

but for the cutting out issue, id go through and clean/rebuild carb..

The Phaser is a fan-cooled sled, so no antifreeze. Like Polaris Rider said, it's probably running rich. Sleds are jetted for cold temps, they always run rich in the summer. If it starts easily and seems to run ok, it's probably fine. I would wait until it gets a lot colder to do any serious adjusting...
