Smile Skins for V-max and Phazer

I have a 1995 V-max 600 DX and Phazer 480ST. I'm looking to put new skins on the v-max because the originals are pretty banged up. On Dennis Kirk I can pick them up (Sno-stuff ski skins). Does anybody have any other sites you would recommend checking? Also, has anybody put skins on their Phazer skis, is this worth doing? These sleds have low miles, only 1,700 on each. Would you recommend changing the wear rods while putting new skins on. How often do these need to be changed. Pretty new to the snowmobile community. I've ridden these for 3 seasons now and I want to buy more in the future. I'm an Arizona rider, so we lack any type of service places for sleds. No problem though, I'm used to working on toys. What about the slides? How often do they get changed? I'm assuming the skins, wear rods and slides are all easy replacements. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you do not wear out the skegs (ski wear bars), the skins will last a long time.
If you can not find full plastic skis for your sleds, this is the way to go.
Unless you ride a lot on low snow or bare roads, the skegs and sliders should last many years.

Where do you live or ride in Arizona? I'm in the White mountains area.
