2 Stroke VS. 4 Strokes

What do YOU ride...

and have you thought about a move to the "dark side"?

I'd eventually like to get a 4, but right now I'm happy as hell with my 2's.

A 4-stroke would completely change my experience with snowmobiles. I would not be near as capable at wrenching, what with not having any practice...

Having a sled that got better fuel mileage and didn't make you stink at the end of the day would be nice... extra weight or not! The major dealers are getting the 4-strokes figured out, the "weight penalty" of a 4 is not near as great as it used to be, and the potential for easy mods for big power is easier on a 4. It will be interesting the next few years to see where the economy and the state of the art takes us!!

I currently ride a 2 stroke but as long as it has skies and a track I'll ride it.

I have all 2 strokes now, however, I had the chance to ride a Yamaha 1000 4 stroke this past winter and I have to admit that it is a pretty snappy machine and not to bad at handling. I think in a few years they will be comparable machines and then, Who knows? Probably buy 1 when bugs are worked out.

all I can say about 4 strokers is that they have amazing power, they have a broad power-band so it dont matter if you doing 120 km/h it will still pull like a train, they have power every where, unlike a 2 stroke, that makes its max power at certain rpms, nothing wrong with a2 stroke, but I would take a 4 stroke Nytro over any sled built today
