82 SRV Only runs well with Choke on?

Hey guys. I just recently got this sled. I rebuilt the top end of the motor and installed new pistons, rings, jug gaskets, head gaskets and intake and reed gaskets. It is a single carb SRV 82 or 84. Not really sure. It runs well at start until you give it throttle then bogs down. If I engage the choke and leave it on it runs great till it gets hot and when you give it full throttle it opens up then slows down and the opens and slows again. Cleaned the carb out totally and it looks good and jets arn't clogged.

A buddy told me it could be crank case gaskets.

I have no idea. But the snow is here and I wanna ride this sled the way it should be rode.

Thanks in advance for the help guys and stay safe!

There is a website dedicated to SRV... Google SRV 540.

when it gets hot do you turn the choke off. Have you checked your plugs. On mine the one side was fouled making it bog quite a bit.
