1999 srx 700 triple crank siezed possible recall?

my buddy was given a 1999 srx 700 triple by his girlfreinds dad and the crank is siezed on it ive heard about some recalls or problems with the cranks on these sleds the sled only has 2000 miles and the crank is siezed up anybody know if theres a recall for sure or what it might take to get this thing right again or if its even worth it.

Check under the brand > recalls threads.
Even if there is none, for free, I'd get it fixed and ride it.

the main bearings go, not a hole lot you can do about it, one of the flaws. they have three piece cranks so if one part is **** you can just buy that piece and press apart the crank and press it back together

the issues yamaha had with the srx cranks would be going out of phaze( they would twist ,causing them to be out of timing, hard starting ,down on power, not seizing.
