Has anyone installed a throttle body switch on a viper??
If so are there any major fine tunes and suggestions. I have 2 vipers a 2003 and a 2002 and they both have the same problem when throttling down. Any suggestions...

hey if im not mistaken i have had the same problem on my 2001 SRX 700 triple, there is a TORS switch, it is mounted on the trottle cable in the middle carb there are two wires that come off of it i think one is solid black and the other is a black with yellow tracer, unplug those two bullit conecters and on the harness side plug the two into eachother, ones male the other female they will only fit one way. This connection is located under the air intake tube that comes of the airbox. at the frame right beside the coolant pipe on the right side of the sled. I hope this fixes ur problem it cured mine perfectly.

I was told by a friend( also a viper rider) that there was a throttle body positioning switch on the back of the throttlr lever on the handle bars. When i run at full throttle and let off it seems as if though I am not getting any gas to the motor. The only way that I can stop this right now is to not let the throttle all the way off when I throtle down.

You can bypass it.
I believe that it is also in-link to the kill switch so you will have to cut the right wire so that the kill button still works.

Thank-you very much for that little tidbit....Sled runs great and the repair bill at zero sure makes it a great bargain. Forums like this are a great tool and members such as yourself make them even better.....
