I used to have a 1989 Exciter and I believe the capacity was about 10 US Gallons. If I rode 150 kms (90 miles) that was about the limit for distance.

Thanks, I have been riding blind as the fuel lines are so discoloured you cannot read the fuel level. I have been typically riding 60 kms and filling up with 12 liters, and was never sure how much further I could go.

That would be about 8 to 9 US Gallons or about 7 to 8 imperial. Average about 16 to 17 MP Imperial Gallon equals 110 to 120 miles. Sounds about right.

The Clymer says 8.1 gallons but doesnt say say "who's" gallon, always best IMO to converse in metric since it's globally consistant.
