Question SRX Viper 700 Power Valves

Hi I'm new to this forum, so bare with me.
I have a 2003 Yamaha SRX Viper 700. When I turned the key on you could hear the power valves cycle once and that was all. Now when you turn the key on they constantly cycle. Does ayone know why or what the ourcome of this is. It still seems to pull strong, but there has to be a reason and a fix...if one is needed. Any ideas??

They are probably stuck or badly in need of cleaning. If you don't run synthetic oil you need to clean them approx every 1,000-1200 klm's.The servo motor goes to a home position when the key is turned on.BTW I've got over 20,000 klm's on my Viper so I'm pretty good at cleaning them.

If they are stuck long enough your service engine light will start flashing a code. You could also pull the cable right through the end of the valve.
