Is there a chaincase drain plug on 1991 PhazerII and 1997 VMAX? If so where?

The Phazer, no. The V-max, yes, on the back of the case in the tunnel.

when I looked at the vmax there is a stamped sign that says drain. There is no arrow but there is a screw next to the word drain. It looks like all the other screws on the case. Would that be the one to drain the oil?

I thought you had a 1997 V-Max- did you recently change your signature from 1997 to 1996 V-Max? My answer about the 1997 V-max was accurate. Yes, the '96 also has a drain bolt, lower right side of cover. It has a sealing washer on it also.

Usually the drain plug is located on the bottom of the chain case excessible from the bottom of the belly pan. And probably a allen key needed to remove it.

Yes jerry I fuc&*d up. It is a 1996. I was looking for the drain plug and noticed the 1997 has an oil dipstick and the 1996 doesn't. Mine doesn't so it must be a 1996. Also you mentioned that the Phazer 1991 does not have drain plug. Mine has the same screw with the same sealing washer on the bottom right side of the chaincase. I can't guarantee the Phazer has the original chaincase either. I bought these sleds this year and I am learning alot about them.
