90 Exciter clutch help required

I have my 90 Exciter primary clutch apart to replace a few bushings and clean everything up. Since it's apart, I thought it would be a good idea to measure the free length of the spring in accordance with my service manual. Unfortunately my manual only covers up to model year 1989 and there must have been changes to the clutch for the 1990 model year. The colour coding on my spring is white and blue which is not listed in my manual. Also my spring is significantly longer than the spec for a 1989 clutch. If someone can tell me the specified length for my spring I would be most greatfull. Once again it's a 1990 and the colours are white and blue.
Thanks.

Primary spring free length is 72.5mm to 78.5mm(2.85 to 3.09 in) the colour of the springs should be white and Purple not blue that is standard if you want high altitude you would go with white and silver

Thanks for the reply. I just measured mine and it's 3 and 5/16" long. The colours are white and blue, not purple. Perhaps it's not original? The clutch seems to work well (when it's clean) so I'll leave well enough alone.
