89excel3trouble

hello again all i have fixed the sled i thank you all for your help.one quetion,is it normoal for a sled to have a realy bad turning radius or do i haveto be moveing a little faster for it to turn better?thanks again this group/forum is great. one more thing there is an oil tank up high in the mototr is the fuel supposed to be a mix or strait

Make sure that the wear bars on the bottom of the skis are not worn down, that will help.

The oil pump takes care of it.

so then i just put strait gas in the gas tank and the machine puts the oil in the fuel with the oil pump ok.i need to find the pump i dont think it is workin oil is not going throug the lines attached to the tank so i assume the pump isnt working

Does the level in the oil tank go down as you run the engine?
If so, it's working.

If it's smoking when it runs, it's working OK.Watch the tank to see if the level changes, though. it will go down rallly slowly, like after a longer trip.

thank you i thing the person i got the sled from put premixed fuel in the gas tank yes it is smoking when it runs. my understanding is as long as i see smoke i will not worry. if he did put premix in the gas tank then the oil puimp wont put much at all in the motor because it see oil in the fuel right.also were do i find what kind of motor is in it and were is thew vin. once again i thank you for the help too bad the sled season is over.
