RX-1 Battery

Hi All:
I want to replace my battery on my 2004 RX-1. I was out at my friends barn and took a quick look and couldn't figure out how to remove it. I am usually pretty handy but feel pretty stupid that I couldn't figure it out. Anyone have the simple solution to share with me?

Thanks

There should be two terminals on the opposite side of the clutch on your engine. Follow them back and you will see the battery. You will need to remove your air box to get it out. Not a big issue. Set aside like 30 minutes its cake. If you really think its difficult I suggest getting a battery tender to keep up on it as well. I installed one on my RX warrior.

Thanks

Thanks. I saw it under the airbox but thought it was odd that i would have to remove it (or that it wouldn't just pull out). I will give it a shot tonight.

Not a problem. If you have any other questions on that or Yamaha in general maybe we can trade advice. Shoot me an email brokenshillelagh@yahoo.com

Have a nice holiday

Ya, snow. I'd like to think we all need some of that.
