Vmax 600 max rpm 1995

I have searched but I cannot find the max RPM for the Vmax 600. It has an aftermarket clutch on it and I am trying to set it up. It is currently at 8000 RPM wide open and this seems high. Does anyone know what the max RPM on this machine is?

Thanks

From my experience with the machines I've had, they all seemed to govern out at around 7500rpm give or take under wide open throttle with a stock setup.

It all depends on how long you want the engine to last. I don't know for this sled though.

I have a 96 Vmax and at full throttle it runs a little over almost right at 7, so you aren't to far off.

I had the same conversation with the folks at Hauck perfmorance. With twin pipes the vmax 6oo should be running 8300 rpm.

Most manuals and threads I have read in here is to stay under 8500 rpms. I myself like to stay under 8000rpms. It is not millage that kills motors it is rpms.
