Looking for suggestions

I have a 1989 Exciter with 1000 miles on it. It sat in a barn for 5-6 years and was not ridden hard. I reciently purchased the sled and had to un mothball it to get it ready for this season. I cleaned the gas tank out, replaced the hardened fuel lines, and took the sled to my local shop and had the carbs cleaned.
We had some snow last week and I was anxious to get the sled out and ride so upon doing so rode the sled around in some fields (ran great). I then shut the sled off went in to warm up. after a ½ hour came back out and sled would not fire. Checked spark plugs and one side was fouled and both were wet. I changed plugs, and then the sled fired, but at full throttle only would reach 1000rpm's and the sled smoked so bad I couldn't even see the front of the sled.
Just having the carbs cleaned, I took the sled back to the shop and told the Tech something must not be back together right, The Tech thought maybe the fuel pump diaphram may be bad and possibly the fuel mixture was entering the bottom end of the motor..thus causing smoke. The tech checked everything out and fuel pump checked out OK. Tech removed exhaust system after the Y adapter(just for a few seconds) and tried to fire the sled, It started the first pull with out hesitation. Then the Tech replaced the exhaust system and my problem is back. Tech told me exhaust system is clogged. I thought that seemed odd, So I picked the sled back up from the shop, and brought it home, Removed the pipe, cut it apart to have a look see, and guess what... pipe was fine.
Thats my story, and I'm out of Ideas, does anyone have any suggestions? I'm out of ideas and it sounds like my tech is too. Tech said Carbs OK. and sled should run great

Also What is the TORS circuit listed in my manual? could that have anything to do with my issue?

You actually cut the expansion chamber apart? there may have been an easier way to tell if the exhaust had a restriction like a mouse nest. Sounds to me like the carb needles may not be seating properly and causin g flooding when she sits after running. Not a lot will flow to the engine but a little from the remaining pressure in the fuel pump my be sneaking past your needle. Clean carbs again. dont go back to that shop unless they will give you a free expansion chamber. carbs are easy, just have a clean work area, compressed air (low pressure) and good solvent like alcohol or high evap solvent. Inspect your needle and seat. maybe dirty maybe worn. 20 minute job for each carb. 40 minutes if your SEG. Joking SEG. He's the carb master.

If the exhaust was plugged, it would be a mouse house in the silencer, not the expansion chamber.

Lightbulb 89 Exciter motor issues

Thanks to all who replied, I'll try the mentioned things and see how it works out with going over the carbs again.
