Exclamation 87 exciter oil bleed issues

Hey,

I just replaced all the oil lines and the oil screen. I have a service manual (Printed in 86) and an having a heck of a time bleeding the lines. I just doesn't seem to be pumping any oil at all. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Anyone out there have any suggestions besides premixing fuel or installing a direct injection system. It worked before, it should now.

The pump will just barely move any oil at all, especially at idle. How are you bleeding it? I think there is a bleed screw on the pump.

Yeah I did use the bleed screw. The factor service manual says to prefill the lines from the pump to the fuel line and then bleed the system. Once this is done, they say to fire the engine up and idle it for about 2 minutes while pulling the oil pump cable wide open (not the carb cable) to pump oil quicker. I figure I will do is but first put premixed fuel (25:1) in the tank, which is empty now. Any better ideas out there??
