Snow Sport

Has anyone been inside one of these little 120's? I have one that I ran a couple of years ago and now the rod is rusted up??? Any thoughts on how to get the rust out? I have it apart and soaking in PB Blaster!

If there's any rust at all on the crankpin, rod bearing or the big end of the connecting rod the rod is history. You can remove all the rust with pool acid, but it leaves pits which leads to destruction. You aren't expecting it to be "OK" when the rust is gone, are you?

No I was wondering if anyone has had one of these apart? Hey Iron Dog, First let me say I love your swap meet! But just to let you know I think some one was trying to pull a scam on me over a sled I posted! Something about including shipping arrangements in the cost and having someone bring me a cashiers check for me to cash and pay the shippers?

Yeah, those scams are common as dirt through out the internet- anytime they say they will have their "agent" or someone else arrange shipping it should raise a red flag. Unfortunately some people fall for it. BTW, the Yamaha Snow Sport is a 125, I have never laid a wrench on one myself.
