Check the plugs to see what side it is. Does it run OK after that?

Thats what my vmax did. There just wasn't enough compression to get the fuel pumping until the engine was running on its own.

check the connection of the spark plug end cap to wire. might be something as simple as that also might check the choke plunger adjustment, that they are both opening the same amount

looks like bad cylinder was bang on.. took it for a ride saturday morning 24 kms in, it shut down like a ton of bricks ,it would only fire on one cylinder upon attempting to restart,so i had to get it towed home. i havent compression tested it yet but there is little to none on the starter side, top pf piston looks great throuh plug hole...so i uess my next question is what involved in taking it apart ?will i need a head gasket or can i leave it intact what should the cylinder bolts be tourqued and sequence i hav never took a liqued coold sled apart. 1st time for everthing right?
i will report back when i get the full diagnoses..i hopeing just a ring or/& piston

Drain the coolant, then remove the head cover. You should be able to tell whhat you need then.
