98 vmax motor question - Snowmobile Forum: Your #1 Snowmobile Forum

hey guys just wondering if anybody can tell me if a newer say 700 motor would fit in an older 600 chassis. i have a 98 vmax 600 xtc and im kinda thinkin about tryin to put a newer 700 motor in it but dont know if motor mounts and things like that will work..any help would be appreciated and thanks!!

I don't think Yami made a 700 twin? They did make a 700 triple with a single pipe!
Whats wrong with the 600? A little porting and a bit of work on the muffler, change the gearing and that was a great sled!

well the last time it was ridden last year it was very sluggish, and didnt want to accelerate very quickly or over about 55 mph...so i pulled the carbs apart and cleaned them this past week and put some new gas in it but obviously i cant ride it but it just doesnt sound right to me....
