Ive got 2003 yamaha viper that i bought new last october. It had carb issues of the floor, probably from sitting so long. I got that fixed, but Now it bogs down when i punch it, usually only doing 6 to 7000rpm. now im getting beat by 500s. tried replacing plugs, but ive done that alot this year. HELP! thanks guys.
Clean the clutches. Over time belt grime builds up in them and causes binding. Use brake cleaner and dry the parts well before reassembling. Do not use any type of liquid lube. Use only dry lube or none at all.
yea i thought about that, but the sled only has 1000 miles. its still on its first belt which appears to still be good. i would be really if i had to disassemble the cluthes, seeing as i bought it new and have had carb issues before, but since it has so few miles, could it really be a clutch issue already. i dont ride that hard....
