97 v-max 600 vrs 700

I have a 97 v-max 600.I am looking at a 700 triple for myself and giving this 600 to my 16 yr son. Question is how does the triple work in the corners low to mid range? Lots of people tell me the triples are great lake sleds thats it. Problem is im a bigger guy 300+ will this sled work out for me, we get a little competative when we ride together. thanks for the info

I've had both (600 twin and 700 triple -both 97 SX's) and I much preferred the higher revving, higher HP triple. You will get better mileage too. coming out of the corners the triple just had more poop!

I have the 700 and it goes like hell. Not quite as quick out of the hole as an 800 but a nice step up from the 600. I weigh 200 and it's fast enough for me.
