1992 Exciter II LE - Please look at pics!
Hello all,
I am looking at buying this sled. Its listed as a 92. I am going to take a look at it tonight.
Anything I should look out for when I go take a look? No mechanic by any means!
It has a new track and bearings. From the pics, looks like its in nice shape for the year.
Also, sled has about 8000 miles, but I hear the motor is pretty bulletproof.
Any additional info would be great!!
Thanks!

Look for a V Max. That one has a lot of miles on it. Look around!

I'm getting a great price on it - $875 CDN. I know it has some miles on it, but this will just be a weekend rider.
That said, there's no point thowing away $875 if its junk. But, it looks like its in nice shape.

If it's in canada and was originally bought there the odometer should be set for kilometers. which would be around 5000 miles. so unless someone switched it over to miles that could be the case.

when you go to start it see if its warm beforehand, you don't want a sled that won't start when its cold. my old bike was like that, had to push it to start it cold but when warm 1 kick would do it.

Thanks for the tips and info! I still haven't purchased anything, the Exitcer was nice and in great shape, but I must have misunterstood the price. He wants $1050 CDN. Anyway, still may buy it, but in the meantime I found an 94 VMAX 600. Any comments on that sled? Has 10000 KM (not miles), original track and clutch. He says that they are in good shape however. Whats the better sled? I'm looking for something reliable...its a weekend sled only and I don't want to sink a lot of cash in it.
Here are some pics:

1994 vmax- fairly quick, but the suspension will woop your A$$ in an hour of bumpy trails. those pogosticks up front just dont cut it. they handle alright but id never buy one. just my $.02

Believe it or not but with an m10 on the back those sleds handle great i rode trails with a bud who has a 04 xcsp 600 i was on his A$$ the whole time. Not to mention the engine is just plain bulletproof. I think the pogos are fine but with the old rear suspension people make them out worse than they are.
