opinion... about oil change issue.

This kind of nonsense started appearing in the manufacture of infernal machines some years back. As manufacturers started to improve the quality of their products - technology, functionality, reliability - this created a new set of problems called limitations in cash flow due to a decrease or need to repair.

Their answers to that are/where make it difficult for Mr. Johnny lunchbox to do his own repairs by placing easily accessible parts to repair in obscure places thereby creating a need to bring the machine back to the dealer to do what Johnny used to do on his own years ago. Create a diificult situation and make it next to impossible to repair without certain tools or gizmo's only the proffesionals have or can afford to buy.

A cry from the theiving, lieing, manipulating, unscrupulous, bullsh$t artist, backstabbing, bastards that we all call dealers was heard loud and clear because as you well know everyone benefits on the repair end of the business, The techs make money, The dealer, and the manufacturer who supplies the parts...

Just my twisted paranoid take on the who issue... LOL

I know the feeling...Yamaha is FAMOUS for it....Try to change the recoil rope on a V-Max....You need to pull the motor!!! Unless it's an 86, then you grind enough of the frame away to get it out....
