Srv 540

I have a 1982(I'v been told) but think its maybe 83 or 84. How can I tell?? Also as of late, I cannot get the clutch to engage even when the trottle is wide open. What might some of the things that might be causing this? Is there a website were one can look at diagrams of different parts of the sled(clutch, primary, secondary etc.)? I haven't had a chance to introduce myself properly and will do so in the proper thread once I take care of my current problem.
Thanks for any and all the assistance.

Is it even reving up? How do the spark plugs look? Wet and oily? Sounds like it's only running on one cylinder.

my srv will crawl on one cylinder, check the belt , if the sled has a comet on it and the engine will rev up past 5000 easily(i say 5000 because it should move by then even if the belt is shot) then the spider on the comet may have cracked, if it has cracked , DONT just get the spider (unless the comet is fairly new) get the whole clutch (the reason i say this is you might run into more problems with an older clucth and a new spider

Thanks for answering my questions. Are you aware of any website(s) with diagrams that I can refer to, as I am not sure what the parts are that you are talking about. I am relatively new to snowmobiling and in actuality, use it primarily for getting in and out of lakes for icefishing. Once there though, and once they get bored, my sons will go wiping around on the sled (far from my fishing hole lol).
Thanks again for all your assistance.
