Remove Carb From Ovation

I am helping a riding buddy (keep trying to get him to go to a Ski-Doo lol) but he has a Yamaha Ovation (mid 90's sled like a 95 or so. Anyway, it sat for a year (really 2 only rode it once last season) and never was prepped for the summer. Anyway got it fired up the other day and it won't idle (let off throttle and acts like it is getting no fuel and quits). When you give it throttle it does not accel cleanly either so I think the carb needs to come off and get cleaned. This thing does not look like the Mikuni's I am familar with so that is why I am hear asking for help. First how do you remove this thing (notice the choke and throttle cables all seem mounted to this top place and some general ideas about taking it apart would be good too.

Thanks for the help

Thanks, the carb shown is like the ones I am used to. This one on the ovation is quite a bit different.....it looks like one carb split for 2 cylinders but it looks like it has an adjustment on top for each cylinder. I also had an email saying that the problem may be the throttle override switch....does anyone know where this is located? How do I find it? Thanks

with the sled off obviously go W.O.T and look at the throttle unit that the cable goes through, where the trigger sits, there should be tw little button things, those are what you want to remove but i have no idea how to do it all i know is that the ones on my sled are off already lol
